If you are trying to get your kids to have a serving of green vegetables, you should try this recipe.
Delicate and crunchy farm-fresh baby bok choy are marinated in a super quick delicious marinade.
They are grilled on a cast iron pan for that beautiful char effect. It takes around five minutes on a hot cast iron pan.
Having them just like that gives a delicious fresh taste.
What is Bok choy?
Bok choy is also known as Pok Choy. It is a type of Chinese cabbage and is quite a popular green in Asian cuisine.
Baby bok choy is mild and tender, and grilling recipes are always suitable with baby bok choy rather than fully grown ones.
I prefer big ones for stir-frying or using in different recipes and always look for delicate, light green baby bok choy to use in recipes like this. http://Bok choy wiki

Marination Used-
I have used wonderful extra virgin olive oil, pepper, lemon, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and soy sauce.
It works with any other seasoning of your choice as well.
How to Prepare Them for Grilling-
Cut/divide each bok choy into two parts. Do not chop off the ends, and wash them properly.
Chopping the ends will make bok choy difficult to stay together.
Whisk the marinade and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
How to Grill the Bok Choy-
While bok choy is marinating, place a cast iron pan or a grilling pan on a gas stove.
Heat it properly. When it's super hot, place bok coy down.
You will hear a sizzling sound, and after 2 -3 minutes, turn it over for a different side down.
Use tongs to remove it onto a plate and serve it immediately.
You can of course eat it later but fresh from the grill has its own effect.
It's crunchy, crispy, and super delicious.
Why Should You Try Bok Choy?
Bok Choy is super quick to cook and is delicious. They are healthy, fibrous, and full of calcium and folate.
These greens are filling and really nutritious. In addition, they can be cooked without using any oil.
