This twenty-minute delicious rigatoni in vodka sauce/Vodka Sauce Pasta will make you crave it repeatedly. Aromatic ingredients like onion, garlic, and a hint of spice from red pepper flakes make this creamy sauce pasta a staple in my household. It is kid-friendly and a crowd-pleaser.
Well, my Daughter and I are suckers for a good sauce pasta, and trust me, after trying so many recipes and dishes, we can vote this Rigatoni ala vodka/ Rigatoni in vodka sauce our no-one choice.
I often do not use Vodka in the sauce because I prepare it for her, but I use it whenever I make it myself. It does add depth to the sauce, so I will insist you use it if you can.

1)This recipe is excellent when you are short on time and want something hearty and comforting. Boil the Pasta on one stove and prepare the sauce on the other. This recipe will take no more than twenty minutes.
2)Canned tomato sauce or paste is terrific. I usually use my homemade sauce, Instant Pot Easy Pizza -Pasta Sauce. However, store-bought ones are also very delicious.
3)You can quickly increase or decrease the quantity of cream, cheese, and red pepper flakes.
3) Regarding Pasta, I use organic or whole-wheat pasta from Trader Joe's. However, you can use whatever you like. I suggest using whatever is in your hand.
How to cook Pasta?
Cooking pasta until Aldente is the best practice. The Aldente texture is a little chewy and tastes the best. Nobody likes soft, excessively cooked pasta.
Ingredients we need to cook this pasta,
Rigatoni Pasta/Penne Pasta—I like the chewy texture of rigatoni, but you can use any pasta.
Tomato Sauce /Tomato Paste—Homemade or store-bought. You can mix them as well. Tomato paste gives the pasta a much brighter red color.
Heavy Cream- Any heavy cream will work.
Red Pepper Flakes- Any will work.
Crushed black pepper-
Butter- Butter makes everything better, including pasta. It gives the dish a lovely shine.
Olive Oil- Any good quality extra virgin olive oil.
Onion- I prefer red or shallot, but you can use any onion.

- Cook pasta according to package instruction.
- Take a pan ,hea
- Add minced garlic and onion to the pan and saute till they look golden.
- Pour tomato sauce into the pan and stir with red pepper flakes and crushed black pepper.
- Add heavy cream and little bit of pasta water.
- Now add cheese and mix to form a smooth tomato sauce.
- Combine pasta and parsley at this time.
- Make sure pasta is coated properly
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
