How to make this Paneer Sizzler Rice Bowl?
There are four components of this rice bowl,
1)Making of Spanish rice.
2) Veggie Stir Fry.
3) Making of Paneer tikki /coins.
4) Making of red pepper sauce to combine everything while eating.
How to make easy Spanish rice?
Well, I make this as a one-pot meal with just a few ingredients and an Instant Pot. Heat the Instant Pot with some oil. Saute the rice with minced or chopped garlic, and saute until it is golden.
Add some homemade tomato puree or canned one, black pepper powder, chili flakes, and salt.
Stir and add water. Cook for 6 minutes and then turn off the Instant Pot. Release the steam naturally and remove the lid.
Fluff the rice, add some chopped fresh cilantro, and savor the flavor.
What type of rice is typically used in Spanish rice?
Typically, long-grain rice is used for making Spanish rice because it doesn't stick together, resulting in a more fluffy texture than short-grain rice. Use any variety of Mexican rice available in the market, or substitute with basmati rice.
How to Make Veggie Stir-Fry?
Chop the veggies into bite-sized pieces; I prefer not to have huge vegetables in my bowl meal, so I opt for small pieces. Take a pan, add a little bit of oil, and heat it.
When it's hot enough, add the chopped or minced garlic and all the vegetables. Add salt and chili flakes to it. Just give it a good stir over a high flame for 2-3 minutes, and your veggie stir-fry is ready.
What type of veggies can we use for stir-fry?
Feel free to use whatever you like. I use all the colorful, crunchy veggies in my stir-fry, like carrots and broccoli, colored bell peppers, zucchini, and many more.
How to make Paneer Tikki /Coin?
Combine the grated paneer, grated potato, herbs, dry spices, and salt, along with the cornstarch, and knead the mixture into a dough. When it's smooth, make tikki /coin and cook it on a griddle or pan. You can also cook this in an air fryer.
Can you prepare this in advance?
Yes.Of course. Make it in a big batch, then freeze in ziplock bags or freezer-safe bags.
How to make red pepper sauce?
Charred and peeled red pepper, garlic, a little bit of paneer, yogurt, and red chili powder are blended with salt to make a love sauce. Add a little bit of butter to make it more luscious.
How to assemble the bowl?
Arrange rice with the help of a small bowl, or add stir-fry to it. Add paneer tikki or coins and drizzle red pepper sauce on top. Enjoy.

- Switch on the saute mode of the instant pot.
- Add oil to it.When it displays hot add garlic cloves to it.
- Saute once and add rice to the pot.
- Saute till it looks golden ,add tomato puree ,salt ,chili flakes and water to the pot.
- Cancel the saute mode. Cover with a lid and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
- Switch off the instant pot. Let the steam release naturally Remove the lid.Fluff the rice with the help of a fork..
- Garnish with fresh cilantro. Keep aside for plating.
- Chop and slice all the veggies.
- Take a pan ,heat it with some oil. Add chopped garlic and saute until golden brown.
- Add all the veggies and sprinkle salt and chili flakes. Stir it around for one minute.
- Switch off the flame and enjoy.
- Mix grated paneer ,grated potato with everything written under the ingredients list .
- Make nice- sized coins /Tikki. Cook on both sides till golden in a pan or air fryer. Use cooking oil for shallow frying or air frying.
- Remove to a plate lined with parchment paper.
- Blend everything with ¼ cup of water.Cook in the pan with a little bit of butter(optional).
- Your sauce is ready to serve.
- Arrange rice with the help of a small bowl. Arrange veggie stir fry and paneer coins.Drizzle red pepper sauce over it and enjoy.
