Al Dente Spaghetti is simmered in a wonderful, garlicky, tomato-cream sauce. It's delectable, easy, and finger-licking good. Hence, it is one of the most loved pasta recipes by my kids. It is a one-pot comfort meal for all times.

Busy Monday again, as school is open after Thanksgiving break. We had one of the most relaxing and chill Thanksgiving breaks overall. There was cooking and eating, as well as lots of tv, which was the highlight. Hence, this was unlike previous times when we had gone for a short break somewhere in Florida.
I can't believe the holiday season has already started. It's sad that this whole year has gone without adding many positives to our life. I don't remember the last time we hadn't gone for a vacation during these times. I love the sparkle and joy which is all around us, but I am not sure what to expect this year.
Coming back to pasta, my kids love eating any type of pasta. Specifically, my younger one. So, this morning, when I saw her in a not very good mood, I thought I would cheer her up with her favourite lunch. Mmmm and the pasta was delicious!!
What Ingredients are Needed to Make Garlic Tomato-Cream Pasta?
You will need-
-Tomato Sauce- I make my own tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes and basil. This is because I love the freshness and flavour of this sauce. Also, it is the easiest recipe for pasta sauce. Here's the recipe link- Instant Pot Easy Pizza -Pasta Sauce. However, a good quality store-bought pasta sauce will work nicely.
-Pasta- I have used spaghetti in this recipe. However, I am not hung up on pasta type. Folks, it doesn't matter; use whatever you have in your pantry.
-Cream- I like to use heavy cream in this pasta sauce. Heavy cream gives a thick consistency to the sauce without adding any type of flour. However, for a Vegan alternative, use coconut cream or any vegan cream of your choice.
-Garlic- Good quality fresh garlic provides a wonderful taste to the cream sauce. It's really remarkable how the upliftment of taste happens from just using 2-3 cloves.
-Olive Oil- A good Mediterranean pasta dish is never complete without a good quality olive oil. Use whichever brand of olive oil you would like.
-Basil Leaves- I love to use fresh basil leaves in my pasta. It really gives a fresh taste to the creamy bowl; however, it is optional. Sometimes, it's just not easily available and for that reason, I cannot insist on having this. If it's available, use it- otherwise, just leave it.
Black Pepper Powder- Crushed fresh black pepper is used in this recipe. I absolutely love the flavour of black pepper in my pasta. If for some reason, you don't like to use it, do not use it.
Red Pepper flakes- Totally optional!!

How to Make Pasta With Garlic Tomato Cream Sauce
Making this pasta is super simple and takes very little time.
1- Boil your Pasta in sufficient water with salt, and boil till al dente. Al dente means that they should have a bite to it. Then, drain the pasta and sprinkle some olive oil on them to prevent sticking.
Do not rinse pasta. After that, keep a little pasta water in a bowl. If needed, it will be used for making sauce.
2- Making of Garlic Tomato-Cream Sauce- Heat olive oil and saute chopped garlic with it. The oil will be infused with the goodness of garlic and that will make the pasta flavourful. Then, add tomato sauce and black pepper to it, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
Add cream and stir. After that, add pasta and basil, and mix with the help of tongs. If your sauce looks too thick, add a little bit of pasta water to it. It should coat the pasta nicely. Serve it and enjoy!!

Garlic Tomato-Cream Pasta
Materials
- 10 Oz Spaghetti/Any other Pasta
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Cup Pasta Sauce
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream/Coconut Cream or any other cream for Vegan alternative.
- ½ Tsp Crushed Black Pepper(You can reduce the quantity )
- ½ Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- ¼ Cup Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1 Tbsp Salt (for boiling pasta)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water for Boiling Pasta.Add salt to make water salty.
- Cook Pasta for 8-10 minutes till al dente(They should have a bite).Drain the pasta and keep it in a plate.
- On another burner place a big pan.Add olive oil to it.
- Add chopped garlic to it .Saute till they look light brown .
- Add pasta sauce to it .Cook for 1-2 minutes .Add crushed black pepper to it.
- Turn the flame low and add heavy cream to it.
- Stir the sauce and add cooked pasta to it .Add fresh basil leaves or red pepper flakes.(If using)
- Cook till it reaches your desired consistency .
- Serve in a bowl and enjoy.
