Baked stuffed shell pasta

This Ricotta ,Parmesan and herb stuffed pasta shell recipe is creamy and comforting.It is easy to make and is always a Super hit with the kids.A few days back I have made marinara sauce from scratch and some ricotta cheese was left after making Canoli. so thought of baking this mixed cheese stuffed pasta for kids dinner .


15 jumbo pasta shells.

2 cups home made or store bought marinara sauce.

1 1/2 cup ricotta cheese.

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.

fresh basil -1 tablespoon Fresh or dry Italian parsley

1/2 teaspoon crushed pepper flakes.

salt -according to taste.

olive oil-1 table spoon.

Making of pasta.

Partially boil pasta in salted water.It should be crunchy enough to hold the shape while baking.

Mix ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and parsley and pepper flakes . Add just a pinch of salt. If you don’t want to add salt that’s fine.remember cheese is salty.

Preheat oven to 350 f.

Stuff all the shells with cheese mixture.

Cover with marinara sauce,and cheese.

Drizzle some olive oil on the top.

Bake for 20 -25 minutes till its golden brown on the top.

Ready to serve.
