Naanwich with Sticky Veg Balls

There is no rule when it comes to eating .Experiments with different flavours and textures makes life and of course working in the kitchen more interesting.

So with freezer and Pantry staples ,I served a dinner which was definitely worth a click,though I was not able to capture the real beauty.

If you don’t have Naan at home ,don’t worry.you can definitely try this with pita bread,Paratha or even Kulcha.

Naanwich With Sticky Veg Balls

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Grated Cabbage
  • 1 Cup Grated Carrot
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Peppers
  • 1 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Grated Garlic
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 3 Tbsp Corn Flour
  • 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Oil

For Making the Sticky Sauce.

  • 4 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Grated Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup/Honey /Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes.
  • 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 Tbsp Water

For Making Naanwich

  • 4 Naan(Store bought /Home made)
  • 1 Cup Tomato Slices
  • 1 Cup Cucumber Slices
  • 4 Lettuce Leaves

How to make Veg Balls

  • Grate all the vegetables in food processor or with the help of a grater.
  • Transfer these vegetables in to a big bowl.
  • Add salt,black pepper,corn flour and all purpose flour to it .
  • Mix it nicely.
  • Oil your palm and make veg balls of the same size.
  • Preheat air fryer to 370 F.
  • Air fry veg balls for 10-12 minute on 370 F.Your time can vary ,depending on size of your veg balls.These veg balls won’t be very crispy .They will be slightly chew.
  • After its air fried remove them from the air fryer and keep them aside.
  • You can deep fry them as well.

How to make Sticky Sauce.

  • Mix everything together written under the sauce.Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Take a wok /Pan.
  • Add mixed Sauce to it .
  • Let it come to a boil on medium flame.
  • It will look little thick and glossy.Taste it ,adjust it according to your taste.
  • Your Sauce is ready.Mix air fried/deep fried veg balls to it .Make sure sauce is coating veg balls perfectly.
  • Serve it like a wrap or sandwich .You can use Naan,Pita ,Kulcha ,Paratha.
  • You can use salad green as well.
  • Enjoy.
