Rigatoni Tomato Cream Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Oz Organic Rigatoni
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Butter/Olive oil(for vegan alternative)
  • 1 Small Onion Diced
  • 8 Oz Tomato Sauce/Crushed Tomato
  • Cup Heavy Cream/Cashew Cream(for vegan alternative)
  • ½ Cup Pasta Water
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • ¼ Tsp Crushed black Pepper
  • ½ Tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Basil Leaves(Optional)
  • Vegeterian Parmesan (Optional)

Method
 

  1. Take a pan and heat butter in it. Add minced garlic and red pepper flake to it .
  2. Add tomato sauce or crushed tomato to it ,mix and let it cook for around 2-3 minutes or till it releases butter/oil.
  3. Add crushed black pepper, salt, Italian herb seasoning, and cream to the pan.
  4. Let it cook for around a minute or two. Add basil leaves at this point(if using)
  5. Add cooked al dente pasta to the pan and mix with the sauce. Make sure the pasta is coated nicely with the sauce.
  6. Add ½ pasta water to the pan.
  7. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes on low flame .
  8. Garnish with some cheese(optional) and serve with some crusty bread.
  9. Enjoy.
