Easy Pita Bread

Easy to make Pita Bread. Don't wait to make this fluffy, soft, airy, and homemade pita bread.Perfectly puffed up this pita bread is way better than store-bought ones. It is also vegan and kid-approved.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cup All Purpose Flour /2+2 cups whole wheat and all purpose flour
  • 7 Gms/Sachet Instant Yeast
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp olive Oil
  • 1-1.5 Cup Warm Water

Method
 

  1. Mix flour ,salt ,sugar and yeast together.Whisk it with a whisker .
  2. Knead a soft dough with the warm water .
  3. You may or may not need whole cup of water .Sometimes you need more water as well.
  4. Make a soft dough. Apply olive oil to the dough and make it supple .
  5. Proof it in the Instant Pot on yoghurt mode for 1 hour or 1.5 hour.
  6. Your dough must be doubled by this time .
  7. Poke it with your fingers and knead the dough again for 4-5 minute.
  8. Make 12 dough balls of the same size.
  9. Let them rest for 5 minutes .
  10. Mean while roll the dough balls into round tortilla shape .It shouldnt be too thick or thin.
  11. Let them rest for 10 minute.
  12. Preheat the oven to 550 f.Pre heat your pizza stone ,cast iron gridle or baking tray as well.
  13. Never bake on cold tray ,your pita wont puff up.
  14. Place rolled pita inside the oven and bake for 7-8 minute.
  15. First batch will take more time later it will be fast.
  16. Keep an eye on them .
  17. After they puff up remove from oven .
  18. Keep them wrapped in a cloth towel .
  19. Enjoy with a dip or falafel.
