Easy Air Fryer Falafel

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 Cup Chickpeas(soaked over night or for 8 hours
  • ½ Cup Parsley
  • ½ Cup Cilantro
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Fresh Green Chilies(optional)
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 Tbsp Chickpea Flour/Gram Flour

Method
 

  1. The previous night you can soak the chickpeas in cold water after washing them properly. They will double in size.
  2. Drain the chickpeas and place them in a food processor. Add all the above -mentioned ingredients except oil. Pulse all the ingredients to make a coarse meal kind of texture.
  3. Remove them to a bowl and mix them properly with your hands. You can do that with spoons, too ,but I kind of like my hands in making food.
  4. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap or lid and keep them in the fridge for chilling.
  5. Air frying them- Preheat the air fryer to 360F. Scoop the chickpea mixture to form a round ball or patty structure.
  6. Brush them with oil before starting air frying.
  7. Air fry them till they look crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside.
  8. Turn them in between the process.
  9. That will take 7-8 minutes ,depending on the size of your falafel.
  10. Enjoy.
How do you deep fry them?
  1. Take a pan and heat oil in it .
  2. Drop falafel balls or patties in the pan after its hot.
  3. Fry them on medium flame till they look crispy and golden.
  4. Enjoy.
