Beetroot Stir Fry

Easy and delicious, this beetroot stir fry is a party of flavors. Healthy and amazing, this dish goes well as a side dish. Vegan and gluten free.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Medium Fresh Beetroots, chopped nicely.
  • 1 Tbsp Oil (You can reduce the quantity according to your choice)
  • ½ Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Green chilies ,slit lengthwise (Optional)
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt ,according to the taste.
  • 1 Tbsp Lime/Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped fresh Cilantro

Method
 

  1. Peel the beetroots .Chop them
  2. Take a pan /Wok.Add oil to it .
  3. When its hot ,add green chili and cumin seeds .Let them crackle.
  4. Add chopped beetroot to it .add salt and turmeric .Saute them for 30 second and cover with a lid.
  5. Cover the pan /wok for 2-3 minute on low flame .Remove the lid and stir once.
  6. Cook it for 5-6 minutes more with the lid on .If you think its sticking to the pan add 1 tbsp of water to it .
  7. Remove the lid and stir it on medium flame for one minute.Add lime/lemon juice.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve .
  9. Enjoy
