No Bengali meal is complete without a sweet, and Mishti Doi, as we call in Bengali, is the most delicate among them.
It is hung curd mixed with a little cream and condensed milk, baked either in an oven with a hot bath, or steamed on a stove top to perfection. Then, it's chilled for a few hours in the fridge.
The process of making baked yogurt is quite simple, and you can use any kind of topping for this. The amazing thing is that its not at all necessary to top it with anything. You can just scoop it and eat it.
This is my take on Baked Mishti Doi, and I'm glad that everyone at home loves it.
