I have an awesome recipe for those leftover fruits on the kitchen counter which you forgot to take care of. I am sure most of you are like me who cannot stop themselves to buy fresh fruits but after a few days, your excitement ends because no one is eating them and these innocent fruits keep staring at you sitting on the kitchen counter. So, today, when I stepped into the kitchen, thought of giving them a little makeover.
So here I present to you my abandoned fruits in the form of a new avatar!!!!!
Peaches, Pears, Plums, and Grany Smith apples -3 cups
Cinnamon stick-1 small stick.
Cinnamon powder-½ teaspoon
Pinch of salt.
Take a pan
Add cinnamon, saute for 1-2 minutes
Add chunks of fruits
Saute for 3-4 minutes.
Add sugar and Salt.
Let it caramelize and cook for 7-8 minutes.
Keep it on medium flame.
Check it once and if it's not thickened enough then cook again for 4-5 minutes.
If it looks quite chunky go ahead and mash it a little.
Switch off the flame and let it cool.
Store it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge.
Serve it with slices of bread /crackers or eat it just like that with a spoon like I do.
