TGIF!!!! What a hectic week it was!!!! School, office and running between errands, after school activities, this was gruesome and in my sister’s words, it was a killer week. I was looking forward to the weekend and some much-needed family time. To celebrate Friday evening I thought about making something refreshing and voila! Looking at the fridge, I decided to make strawberry sorbet.
A big pack of strawberries were sitting in the fridge and it was craving for some TLC. I have made this without any ice cream and sorbet maker and believe me, my recipe is so simple that anybody can do it. I am sure you will love this sorbet which is beautiful bright pink in colour and with a hint of lemon gives amazing freshness.
Let’s start the process…
Frozen strawberry or if you have fresh at home then after washing chop it and put it into the freezer in a ziplock bag.—–4 cups
1/2 cup of water
Pinch of salt
Fresh lime juice- 2 tablespoons
First mix sugar with water and on a stovetop to make a light sugar syrup.
Blend all the strawberries and sugar syrup with the help of a blender.
Add lemon juice.
Then in a freezer safe bowl put your mixture in the freezer.
Every 30-40 minutes, bring it out and scrape the frozen sorbet with the help of a fork.
Do it a couple of times and in 3-4 hours your sorbet is ready.
Remove it from the freezer at least 5-10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve.
