When you are craving something that is tangy and spicy with a touch of sweetness, this is the perfect side dish to prepare if you are vegetarian and want something different. This is a good source of protein and you can prepare this in little time.
WE WILL DO THIS RECIPE IN TWO STEPS.
Soya granules-2 cups
Boil this in salted water. Squeeze the water.
soya sauce -1 teaspoon
Ginger Garlic paste -1 teaspoon
We will not add salt to it because we have already boiled soya chunks in salted water.
In a pan add 3 tablespoons of oil and in two-three batches shallow fry the soya chunks, till they are crispy and red. Don’t fry it till brown. It should be pinkish /reddish in colour.
OIL -1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon of julienned ginger
1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
1/2 onion diced
1/2 onion big chunks
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of chilli sauce
1 teaspoon of vinegar
Scallions, ginger and chillies for garnish.
Cornflour- 1 tablespoon
Now we will make the curry.
Take a wok/pan.
Add one teaspoon of oil.
Add minced garlic and ginger to it.
Add ginger-garlic paste.
Saute for a while.
Add soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and chilli garlic sauce and saute it.
Add peppers to it.
Add soya chunks.
Mix everything together.
Add two cups of water mixed with one table spoon of cornstarch to it.
Adjust the thickness of gravy as per your liking.
AGAIN I HAVE NOT ADDED ANY SALT TO IT SINCE ALL THE SAUCES HAVE SALT ALREADY. If you want you can add according to your taste.
Garnish with green scallions, ginger and green chillies.
Serve hot with white rice.
